Generous Donation from the Wiesbaden Industrial Advisory Council to the Zwergnase Center

The companies of the Wiesbaden Industrial Advisory Council have donated more than €12,400 to the Zwerg Nase Zentrum in Wiesbaden. The official handover of the donation took place on site at the center.

“This initiative demonstrates the Industrial Advisory Council’s commitment to society—far beyond purely economic interests. That is particularly remarkable in these challenging times. With this donation, the companies are easing the work of Zwergnase and supporting seriously ill children and their families,” said Christiane Hinninger.

“The companies represented in the Industrial Advisory Council are predominantly small and medium-sized, owner-managed and family-run businesses. Like large corporate headquarters, we are deeply rooted in the city and closely connected to the people of Wiesbaden. In light of the difficult times we are all facing, we want to send a strong signal of solidarity and connection to those who must navigate their daily lives under challenging circumstances,” explained Dina Reit, speaking on behalf of the donating companies.

As a well-established institution in Wiesbaden, the Zwerg Nase Zentrum provides a home for 72 children and young adults who are seriously ill, disabled, and in some cases dependent on long-term ventilation. “A large interdisciplinary team provides loving care and support—always with the goal of creating as much normality as possible despite all limitations. The inherently shortened life expectancy of our children should be colorful, fulfilling, and of high quality—which is only possible with external support. Our heartfelt thanks to the Industrial Advisory Council,” said Gabriele Schenk.

The donating companies include: A.+E. Fischer-Chemie GmbH & Co. KG, Abbott GmbH, Chemische Fabrik Kreussler & Co GmbH, Eckelmann AG, Geiger Notes AG, Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei, Holtz-Office Support GmbH, InfraServ Wiesbaden, MEWA Textil-Service AG & Co. Management OHG, Mitsubishi Polyester Film GmbH, SK Laser GmbH, and Vitronic Machine Vision GmbH.

The 25 members of the Industrial Advisory Council work collaboratively to strengthen Wiesbaden as an industrial location. Under the guiding principle “Strong Industry – Attractive Wiesbaden,” they engage in internal exchange and constructive dialogue with local policymakers to highlight the importance of industry for the city and improve framework conditions. The companies represented in the council see themselves as a voice for industrial interests in Wiesbaden.

On the institutional side, members include the IHK Wiesbaden, the Vereinigung hessischer Unternehmerverbände (VhU – Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus office), the Handwerkskammer Wiesbaden, the IG BCE, the Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund(DGB), as well as Hochschule RheinMain and Hochschule Fresenius. The council is chaired by Christiane Hinninger, with the Department for Economic Affairs and Employment acting as the coordinating hub.
